What an amazing day it was for Trinity Network as we celebrated 50 years of having the privilege of getting to know and understanding the needs of older people in South Leeds. We started as the “Over 55 Club” in our Dewsbury Road site as a need was seen to provide activities for (mainly) women of a certain age who were living alone, either through choice or bereavement. Many of our activities at that time were much more ‘vigorous’ than those our members can manage today as our ages rise.
Our day was enhanced by a visit from the Lord Mayor, Councillor Abigail Marshall Katung, providing lively conversation and an opportunity for all guests to speak with her.
Our staff and volunteers worked so hard in the preparations and on the day and are looking forward to our next 50 years!
